The property is beautifully situated on the banks of the Percuil River, surrounded by picturesque landscapes that enhance its unique charm. The goal was to renovate the existing house and annexe and add a new wing to accommodate an expanding family.

  • The original house, although constructed in the 1950s, was designed in the Arts & Crafts style. The approach to the extension respects this heritage while evolving the design language. Traditional forms, materials, and detailing are paired with subtle, modern reinterpretations—such as dormers emerging from walls and chimneys cleverly transformed into windows—adding a distinctive character.

Sustainability was a core focus, and the extension was constructed with a highly insulated timber frame, shallow foundations, and no steelwork, significantly reducing the project’s embodied carbon. KPK Builders implemented these eco-conscious elements with precision, ensuring both environmental and structural excellence
